Rowena Ryan-Schultz TCRG
Champion Irish Dancer and International performer, Rowena Ryan-Schultz has been dancing for 33 years, launching her international career with appearances at the World Irish Dancing Titles, in Ireland 1987, and winning her home State of Queensland's Title over 30 times.
In 2004, Rowena was a member of the 4-hand choreography team that won the National Title in Australia and she has also won 7 other National Titles in both solo and Ceili dancing.
Rowena has performed with such renowned artists as Stocktons Wing, Mary Black, Christy Moore, The Furey’s and more. She has performed on international stages in Ireland, England, Australia, Indonesia and Scotland.
Obtaining her coveted TCRG (teachers) qualification in April 2006, Rowena started classes at The Studio in Fayetteville and offered students the ability to compete in registered feiseanna (competitions) and perform at many local events, including the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Tyrone, the Great Annual Chili Challenge, The Courthouse Art Show and many more.
Rowena is the only certified teacher in the Southern Crescent of Atlanta - ensuring your child is taught the proper technique, together with the ability to compete.
Rowena is married to ex-Marine, Michael Schultz, whom she met on his tour of duty to Australia in 1997. They have one daughter – Jessica, who is 11 years old, and has already competed in numerous competitions, both in Australia and the USA, and a son – Michael Schultz Jr who was born on September 11th 2007.
The Drake School of Irish Dance – Peachtree City (formerly The Ryan Irish Dance Academy) opened it’s doors in a new location... located in Highway 54, beside Ace Hardware and Publix.
