With the arrival of Irish Dancing classes in the Fall of 2005, Peachtree City and Fayette County have added a new dimension to instruction in the performing arts arena.

The Drake School began in 1990, after Karl Drake immigrated to the United States and began teaching in Georgia and Florida.  The school has now grown to include the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and a new location in Mexico City, Mexico.

The Drake School of Irish Dance is one of the strongest schools of Irish Dancing in the Southern Region, counting among its students many Regional and National Champions who compete internationally at the World Championships in Ireland.

SCHOOL MISSION: ‘Promoting Irish Heritage through Dance’

We are a family community centered school with the goal of promoting Irish Heritage through dance. We achieve our mission through participation in Irish Dance itself, as well as sharing it through performances and at feiseanna (competition).
